How has the bourbon-loving constituency responded? \u201cIt took off fast. We\u2019re drawing lots of out-of-staters visiting in groups, so it\u2019s been great,\u201d says Tony, who isn\u2019t new to what\u2019s known in lodging circles as the \u201cunique rental space,\u201d having previously operated a glamping spot of geodesic domes south of Nashville. We took a couple of months to build a prototype to test the dimensions and make sure it would be weatherproof. I knew if we could make it work, people would be into it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this case, of course, guests literally get into it. Once within the dramatically curved walls of their barrel, they\u2019ll find three hundred square feet devoted to a king-sized bed, kitchenette, and bathroom.
